While you may not be able to monitor all of these yourself, it’s still worth considering which ones are most important for your type of content. Ultimately, it comes down to what you’re looking for when you evaluate your video performance. If you’re looking for engagement, your metrics will be different than if you’re trying to optimize performance.

You should also consider how frequently you’re checking your video metrics. This can influence how you use them. If you’re checking every day, then it might be worth it to analyze a longer period in order to get a better understanding of what’s driving your performance over time. How To Check Reach as a Video Creator

Reach is one of, if not THE most important metrics in video marketing. Here’s how you can check your reach with ease. 

First off, log into your Page Insights under All Metrics (or directly here). From there, select the option for Videos. You should see a bunch of key information up top that includes views and impressions. In order to check reach, you’ll need to click into one of your videos from here. 

Once you’re in that video, find the drop-down menu under Reach (which is located under Views). By default, it will say Impressions. From there you can select CPM (cost per mille) or cost per view if you prefer.

Then, you’ll be able to see how many people saw your video as well as their engagement with it. You’ll also be able to see which specific audience segments these views came from. 

From here, you can analyze your performance against other videos that have been posted on your Page. You can also compare performance against other Pages that are similar or competitive to yours by selecting Pages similar to yours under Filters at the top of your screen. From there, you can check the reach for a Page by selecting it from the drop-down menu.

How To Check Interactions as a Video Creator

Click on your Page Admin tab, then View Insights and Posts tab. Here, you continue to select All Videos tab, then Check interactions under video title. This should give you an accurate number of likes, shares, comments, and reactions for that particular video. 

You will also be able to see where your video was shared, who shared it, and how many times it was watched. You can easily see any users who have uploaded their own version of your video as well. This data is valuable because it tells you exactly how your video is being received. You will then be able to check that data over time, looking at week-by-week figures. This data helps you create better videos in the future.
